This couple's pup stole the show on their wedding day

Forgive us, but we had no control over how many dog photos we included in today’s real wedding feature. And if we had room, we would have published more!

Silliness aside, Paige & Geoff’s pup Athena stole the show at their beautiful California wedding at The Manor Estate. Wearing a greenery-filled wreath (collar, flower crown turned necklace?) and a sweet little doggie dress, it was only natural Athena made it in so many of the couple’s wedding photos & wedding moments.

After taking part in their proposal story (which you can read below), it made sense she got a starring role in their wedding day.

Our Love Story

We met at the gym after being introduced by a mutual friend. After months of talking, flirting, and building a friendship, Geoff FINALLY found the courage to ask Paige out on a date. We had a romantic dinner on a rainy night in San Mateo and the rest was history.

Geoff took Paige to a beach cliff overlooking a beach in half moon bay where they had hiked before. While their families were taking pictures, Geoff hid a note in their dog Athena’s collar telling Paige that he had a very important question to ask her. When Paige lifted her eyes from the note, she found Geoff kneeling on one knee with a ring box in his hand. Paige became overwhelmed with tears and said yes without even seeing the ring. Geoff was so excited that he opened the box towards him, and almost dropped it in a puddle at her feet. Luckily, he caught it just in time!

The Venue

The venue looked like something out of a storybook. It has a rustic vibe, and an almond orchard surrounding the entire estate. All of the flowers were in bloom, and the day didn’t have a cloud in the sky.

Photography & Videography

The Photege – Marsha Walker – met us in Pismo beach months before our wedding to shoot some engagement photos. She was very professional, genuine, and friendly from the beginning. She made us feel comfortable and brought out the best of us for our photos. At the wedding, she was so helpful and filled in as a coordinator when needed. She made our day a memorable one that we will never forget.

Our videographer was referred to us by Paige’s sister since they had been the videographer for her sister’s wedding. They did such a fantastic job that there were no questions as to who to choose as a videographer.

Special Details

Writing our vows to express our love for one another was one of the most special experiences of our lives. We felt like the entire wedding felt the love that we shared for each other.

The reception was covered with pictures from our travels together that showed everyone how much fun we have together. Seeing these photos from overhanging branches looked like something out of a movie. We couldn’t believe that this was OUR wedding! Finally, the dancing and party was one of the most fun we’ve ever had in our lives.

Celebrating with our family and friends made everything very special.

Advice to Other Couples

Don’t stress and take in as many moments as you can! This day takes forever to plan, and in just hours it’s over. It’s over before you know it, so soak it in! Take a moment with your wife or husband to take in all the love that is surrounding you.

The Honeymoon

We went to Tulum, Mexico. We chose this place because we have been wanting to travel there for some time and places were limited due to covid. Tulum was one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever been to together and I suggest that all couples go there sometime.
