For British brides & grooms, Newburgh Priory may fit the bill. Conceptualized by bridal designer Felisiti Greis, this whimsical & elegant Spring wedding inspiration has us dreaming of afternoon teas in fragrant English gardens.

While we on the other side of the pond will just have to dream, the talented team behind this beautiful shoot are pitching to British couples “a destination wedding at home”. We certainly agree that any couple marrying at this charming estate will feel transported to another time & another realm of opulence & beauty, no matter how close they are to home.

Aside from the stunning grounds & fecund florals, we couldn’t let you scroll on without mentions of the stunning, couture fashion displayed in this inspiration. Felisiti Greis creates gorgeous bridalwear that inspires whimsy thanks to intricate embellishments, twirl-worthy ballgowns, intentional sparkle & subtle color.

As part of my collection editorial shoot, I also planned a styled shoot alongside it to inspire couples, giving our current situation with the pandemic. I sought after a diverse team of creatives, who I knew would complement the beauty and concept of this shoot and help bring this vision to life. For this styled shoot, we wanted to celebrate diverse British talents and the beauty that is birthed when we work together in harmony.

This collection is called: “ADIEPENA”

Adiepena is of Akan origin and means:

“Something so rare and valuable, that is difficult to find anywhere else”

This bridal collection was inspired by the resourcefulness of the everyday woman, my desire to preserve quality craftsmanship and my childhood dream of empowering women through my designs.

The concept for the styled shoot was conceived by Felicity, creative director of Felisiti Greis. The inspiration for this shoot was destination weddings. We wanted to create an intimate setting that brought the feel of a destination wedding to our home soil. Meaning couples can be inspired to have a “destination wedding at home”.

For this styled shoot, we wanted to celebrate diverse British talents and the beauty that is birthed when we all work together in harmony while acknowledging and celebrating one of the most historic and beautiful venues Britain has to offer. With resourcefulness and the desire to inspire destination wedding couples in mind, Newburgh Priory was the perfect venue for this shoot. Newburgh Priory boasts of beautiful architecture, interior, landscape and stunning grounds. It has similar features to what a destination wedding venue offers and they have one of the most understated yet beautiful gardens.

The ceremony took place in Newburgh Priory’s long gallery ruin, while the reception was set up in the utterly stunning walled garden at Newburgh Priory.

Tweedle Floral Design created the most stunning floral arrangements for both ceremony and reception set up. They handpicked all the flowers and foliage from British home grown farmers.
