Gorgeous Coastal Ireland Wedding Inspiration

We have a thing for misty, dramatic coastlines here at Bridal Musings – hailing from the Pacific Northwest myself (our PNW coastal bride Christina, too!) I can’t help but drink in the dreamy nostalgia of rainy, Oregonian elopements, blackberry-filled beachside spreads & cliffside weddings between the Evergreens.

Today we trade pine trees for greener pastures & jet to another chilly, coastal wedding wonderland – Ireland. Ethereal, atmospheric & cutting-edge in style, this Irish beach wedding inspiration is pulling at our Northern girl hearts.

In truth, our love for Petal & Twine‘s wedding editorial spans beyond the beautiful scenery. White Cat Studio‘s photographs are filled with creative and inspirational details that not only are trendsetting but actually fit the ‘coastal vibes’.

What do we mean? Oysters dressed with Himalayan salt (my favorite wedding meal!) A pearl-embellished bridal headpiece fit for a sea-faring goddess. A misty grey bridal cape that flutters in the ocean breeze. Tapered candles set in volcanic beach rocks.

Home, the sound of the sea. The sea, once it casts its spell, holds you in its net of wonder forever. The voice of the sea speaks to the soul. The touch of the sea is sensuous, enfolding the body in its soft, close embrace.

For this editorial we chose a minimalistic romantic beach scene. The dress; loose, bohemian and flowed perfectly in the Atlantic breeze. We kept the hair and make up simple with just a touch of coral eyeshadow and blush. The bouquet matched the scene perfectly with shades of brown and a hint of coral to bring it all together.

We set a natural scene for some styled food shots. We used oysters with a delicate pinch of Himalayan salt to tie in the with the overall coral accent theme and bring out the shining silver of the oysters. For the sweet element we had white chocolate cake pops again with a hint of coral to bring everything together.

The calligraphy we used was something a bit different than usual. We used neutral shades of different colored Perspex against glass to create a natural flow to tie in with the beach theme while using the glass made it look elegant and modern.
