Moroccan elopements have always captivated us here at Bridal Musings – from this recent breathtaking wedding film in Fes to my own adventurous couple in the Agafay Desert, there’s always something so enchanting. Today we may be sharing the most stunning elopement of all, from the fashionable riads and alleyways of Marrakech.
Sent to us by way of The Wedding Department, this editorial has everything we love about a wild & free Moroccan elopement. The couple starts their day (in stunning lingerie) in a luxurious riad – equipped with a petite plunge pool, rooftop lounge & stunning decor.
After what was likely a tantalizing breakfast of m’smen, honey, mint tea and orange juice, the couple dress into a fashionable wardrobe. Our bride wears a free-spirited, goddess gown from Brooklyn designer Tatyana Merenyuk while our groom dons two different stylish suits that complement the tropical blues of the riad & terracotta reds of the medina.
It’s no secret I begged my own man to run away to Morocco for our own nuptials, and I no doubt would have called in The Souk Department to plan us this exact day. Photographed by Studio Phylicia, we can imagine so many brides and grooms taking elopement inspiration from this stunning scene.
