Styled shoots are so fun, from an editorial perspective, and a bride perspective. You get to see each wedding vendor's talents, dreams, and unadulterated creativity. Every year we get so many unique ideas, learn the latest trends, and just have so much extra pretty to look at.
We’ve been lucky enough to feature a lot of gorgeous styled shoots on the blog this year, from all over the world. So as with the rest of our Best of 2017 round-ups, it’s been pretty tough to select our tight list of favorites. We've pulled together five of our favorite styled shoots (and thrown an extra in for fun!)
1. Wild Roses; Cool & Romantic White Wedding Inspiration
Captured by Marilyn Bartman Photography, with a concept and gorgeous gowns from Wild at Heart Bridal, this cool and romantic shoot features some of the most talented wedding vendors in the Nertherlands. (Sidenote: we're kind of obsessed with Dutch weddings.)
2. Gorgeous, Romantic French Vineyard Wedding Inspiration
A classically romantic, French winery wedding shoot with chic modern details? Please, sign us up! This styled shoot photographed by Cavin Elizabeth Photography shows you can revel in all the old romance of the French countryside, while still making the decor totally new and totally you.
The chic, monochrome stationary look like exclusive Paris Fashion Week invites, working seamlessly in with the light, understated, pink floral decor.
3. Dark Celestial Luminosity; Gorgeous Indigo & Gold Wedding Inspiration
This trendy celestial shoot (we've been stargazing quite a bit lately) is crammed with ideas; mixing metallics with dark hues (that copper tub!), bringing in unusual colour combinations like flashes of pink or red with a largely indigo and purple backdrop, and inspiring innovative floral styling (floral hoops are huge for 2017!) and glamorous attire.
Photographed by Abigail Steed Photography, with styling and art direction by crack team, Alex of The Bijou Bride and Erica of Mr & Mrs Unique, with the help of some fantastic vendors and suppliers.
4. Opulent Wedding Romance In A Historic English Estate
Is there anything more classic, more romantic, than a countryside castle wedding? I’m getting nothing but fairytale, royal wedding vibes in this gorgeous styled shoot photographed by Taylor and Porter at the historic Port Eliot in Cornwall.
Knot & Pop seamlessly matched the estate’s antique opulence with modern luxury in bridal wear and accessories.
5. Modern LA Wedding Inspiration
Captured by Hannah Q. Photography, with styling and planning by Kate Wright of Blue Door Creative, and stunning gowns and veils by Sylvene of Vene Ai Studios, this modern Los Angeles wedding inspiration features a mix of details inspired by all elements of LA life. From Old Hollywood jewellery, classic stationery and luxe tablescaping to colourful florals, a cool studio space, and a rooftop photo session, oh and it features a bride who is basically a double for Mia in La La Land!
And A Claire Eliza Extra: Cool & Colourful Fiesta Wedding Inspiration From Brooklyn
My absolute favorite styled shoot I shot myself this year, featured on Bridal Musings, is this cool & colorful Brooklyn fiesta wedding inspiration. Annette, my very own Mexican American princess (and my witness for our own upcoming Mexico wedding!) played model for this updated fiesta inspiration. Less Cancun, more Tulum, with hip details, bright florals, and a $60 Asos gown. (What?!)
